In vehicles equipped with advanced on-board computers replacing a standard filament bulb with an LED alternative that draws several times less power may result in a message appearing on the on-board computer indicating a burnt-out bulb. A solution is to use a resistor that acts as an artificial load tricking the computer.

ATTENTION:

Please note that this type of filter heats up to high temperatures during operation (approx. 300°C). It is best to attach it to metal/aluminum elements near the reflector where the resistor will also be able to dissipate the heat.
